Summary
Organic Traffic and RFIs increased for The University of Texas at San Antonio through strategic on-page optimizations and internal linking with keyword-focused anchor text.
Our Role
We identified a large gap within program pages regarding the keywords they were targeting and the number of internal links pointing to these high-priority pages.
Our Strategy
We constructed a list of focal keywords for over 220 programs. We applied these through core elements, on-page content, and interlinked relevant program pages to improve our relevancy for these terms.
- Strategic optimizations across critical on-page elements using focal keyword sets set a foundation and improved visibility
- Incorporation of semantic terms and keywords throughout content helped better improve relevancy
- Optimized internal links and anchor text between program pages further improved relevancy and generated positive organic signals to our important pages
Bottom Line
UTSA saw significant growth in RFI’s and Traffic from Non-Brand searches where they did not have previous visibility. This helped set the stage for further optimizations and growth tactics to ensure the growth continued.
